When you hold this monolith you think glass because it's so clear. Philip, is named after the famous composer Philip Glass because of the clean and beautiful compositions of resin and color. It's made with a chunk of Buckeye Burl that sits softly at the bottom.

Our Monolith is made from burl wood and resin. We stabilize the wood to help it resist humidity changes, then add resin, dyes and pigments. When the finished part has fully hardened, we cut it to size and polish it to an almost mirror finish.
These take us a long time to make and a really long time to polish, so we only make a couple at a time. The only way to get a Carved Monolith is to enter our giveaway contest.
